Leaked: Paul Ryan Drops Explosive Border Wall Bombshell – Now Americans Are Speechless

In a shockingly expected turn of events, it looks like once again, for the millionth time, the Republican leadership is poised to stab conservatives in the back.

So what else is new?

If you’re still surprised by the betrayal of the Republican Party at this point, you’re dangerously naive and should seriously brush up on modern-day politics.

Being a Republican certainly is suffering, as we’re treated like trash with little consequence by the folks that are supposed to be the closest representatives to our views and values.

What have so-called conservatives preserved? The answer is nothing.

Sure, there are very few areas where we, as a nation, have remained neutral or even slightly moved to the Right thanks to legislation.

But as a whole, the US has been going Mach III to the Left for quite some time now–and we’re only picking up speed.

Remember Trump’s foundational campaign cheer and promise? Build that Wall!? Well, it appears that the head honchos in the GOP aren’t too keen about the idea, at least in private.

This press conference right here was a lie, apparently:

As reported at Breitbart, House Speaker Paul Ryan, at a private dinner earlier this year, said he thought only “one member” wanted to build a wall across the entire US-Mexico border.

Breitbart News has learned this from multiple sources with direct knowledge of the comments, including former Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-CO).

“Ryan told a group of Republicans he met with … that only one person wants a wall,” Tancredo told Breitbart News shortly after the dinner.

Tancredo didn’t like the Speaker’s characterization of support for the wall within the House GOP.

Of course he means only one person in his entourage and of the leadership,” he told Breitbart.

I know several people in Congress who want a wall and I know that there are millions of Americans who want a wall.”

You have to understand the level of fear that exists in the Republican establishment about this issue,” Tancredo told Breitbart News, seeking to explain the pressures that Republican members of Congress face when addressing immigration.

Hold up, hold up. Fear? Oh, that fear, the one where the good folks at CNN say bad things about them and the anti-American New York Times writes hit pieces against them.

The fear that next election cycle, they might not receive campaign funds from all the pro-illegal immigration groups that line their pockets and ensure they maintain their cushy Washingtonian lifestyles.

Funny how they fear those things more than the wrath of the people who put them in office and have pleaded with them to build a wall and stop the unending flow of illegals into this country.

The Chamber of Commerce doesn’t want a wall … the pressure is greater from the Chamber of Commerce than it is from the members,” said Tancredo, who was one of the few soldiers in Congress fighting against the illegal problem.

That’s the basic problem. It was then. It is now.”

A current House GOP member confirmed that Ryan made a remark similar to the one Tancredo referenced, but stressed that the Speaker was attempting to summarize the disparate voices in the House GOP caucus, telling Breitbart News:

All this narrative serves to inform is that Ryan’s is making a point of listening to Members and that Members mostly are trying to listen to each other.

I believe it is true that support for the wall is not as strong as it needs to be among House Republicans.

I would love to know who this anonymous coward is so he could tell me what Ryan’s boots taste like.

The Speaker has surrounded himself with a Praetorian Guard of Establishment clowns, closet liberals if you will.

They’re all about the lifestyle, the cocktail parties, the exclusive excursions and networks they have access to. Once they land in DC, they’re primary goal becomes survival; i.e., getting reelected.

You’d think doing the will of the people would be the best way to ensure that, but it’s obviously not. Selling one’s soul to special interests groups and filling the campaign war chest is the best way.

Speaker Ryan and another House GOP member who Breitbart News was told attended the dinner neither confirmed nor denied that Ryan made the comment about support for the wall.
